I. Product Introduction

The MS6818 tester consists of a signal transmitter and a receiver, widely used in the construction and maintenance of communication cables, power cables, metal pipes, and much more. Current and voltage conducting cables, electrical circuits, conduits, water and heating pipelines, fuses, switches can all be located. Short circuits and interruptions of assorted lines and cables can be detected. Even better, the detection is possible not only underground but also in walls and concrete.
II. Working Principle
The cable detector includes a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter provides a modulated AC voltage to the corresponding cable,The AC voltage creates an electric field around the cable, the receiver is fitted with a coil , when the receiver is placed close to the corresponding electrical conductor, the flux of signal will passe through the coil and enters the receiver. This phenomenon is also known as coil penetrating . it will produce very small voltage in the coil, the receiver electronic circuitry calculates this voltage and displays it on the LCD. The transmitted signal of the tester is digitally encoded. This ensures that the signal can be clearly received by the receiver, avoiding any interference in the fields ,eg electronic fluorescent lamps, caused by ballast or converter.
This instrument is widely used in communication cable construction, power cable construction, construction pipeline construction, communication cable with power supply circuit and maintenance of electric heating lines is an indispensable tool for front-line construction and maintenance personnel.
